He is best known as a co-founder of Google Maps, where he helped turn a Sydney-based startup, Where 2 Technologies, into the foundation of one of the world’s most widely used platforms. Following Google’s acquisition in 2004, he played a central role in shaping the product’s early vision and execution, scaling it into a service now relied upon by over two billion people every month. He later joined the founding team of Google Wave, an ambitious experiment in real-time collaboration that, while ahead of its time, pioneered concepts that continue to influence modern productivity and communication tools.
