A recognized thought leader in cloud networking and security, Romain combines hands-on technical depth with executive-level product leadership. He has authored patents, contributed to major open-source projects, and successfully led cross-functional teams through hyper-growth phases.
Today, through his firm DonePoint, he partners with startups as a fractional software architect and strategic advisor, helping founders and executives make critical decisions on product architecture, go-to-market, and scaling infrastructure securely. His sweet spot lies in guiding early to late-stage startups through the complexity of cloud-native environments—ensuring they can scale quickly without sacrificing reliability, security, or speed of innovation.
He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Grenoble INP, France) and an Executive MBA (Santa Clara University), giving him a unique ability to bridge deep technical expertise with business and product strategy.
